Updated : Feb 7, 2026

The long-anticipated return of India’s favorite superhero has hit a significant financial roadblock, leaving fans in a state of uncertainty. Despite the massive excitement surrounding Krrish 4, recent reports suggest that the project has been placed on the back burner due to a major budgetary disagreement between Hrithik Roshan and producer Aditya Chopra.

While Hrithik envisions a grand, high-octane spectacle with a massive budget of approximately ₹500 crore to meet modern global standards, Yash Raj Films is reportedly hesitant, preferring to cap the investment at ₹350 crore to ensure financial viability.

This creative and commercial deadlock has led to a temporary pause in pre-production. Ever the professional, Hrithik is said to be taking the feedback constructively and is currently reworking the script to better align with practical constraints. In the meantime, the actor is also exploring potential collaborations with other major studios that might be willing to fund his ambitious vision.

Consequently, the film’s timeline has shifted, with a likely release now pushed to 2027. Fans will have to wait a while longer for an official announcement as Hrithik prepares to pivot toward another surprise project before donning the iconic mask once again
